Spring Into Action: Why Now Is the Perfect Time to Transform Your Health Habits

March 18, 2025

Originally aired on the Noble and Nourish Podcast

Welcome to the Noble and Nourish Podcast. I’m your host, Chase Williams, and I am a certified personal trainer and nutritionist since 2011, and I’m on a mission to help busy moms just like you change your relationship with food and fitness for the long-term. No more diets, no more quick fixes over here. We are over it, we are done doing it, and we are in this space of building a legacy in our homes.

The Last Monday Before Spring

I’m excited for today. And the reason I’m excited is because I just saw a reel yesterday or the other day. I don’t remember what day it was, but it said, “This is the last Monday before spring.” So it’s the last Monday before spring is here. And it got me thinking about how this season is such a happier time. The flowers start blooming, the sun is shining, you’re feeling so good. Everything is just happy. We’re coming out of this hibernation of winter.

A lot of people come into springtime and they’re like, “I’m just waiting for the right time to focus on my health, focus on my fitness, focus on my habits and routines, focus on getting healthier.” If that’s you, I want you to dive in and listen to this episode because I’m going to discuss what it means when we change with the seasons. And if you’re feeling like, “Is this the right time to focus on that?” we’re gonna talk about why it is. Actually, yesterday was the right time, but the next best time is today.

Does This Sound Familiar?

Let me ask you something. This might sound familiar to you. You’re getting dressed in the morning and you feel that familiar frustration as you’re putting on your clothes and they’re just not fitting the way they used to.

This also happened after all my pregnancies. Every single time, I threw out all my clothes because I thought, “My body’s totally different and I don’t like how any of this feels.” They’re tight, they’re snug in all the wrong places. And you can barely recognize who you are because everything just feels uncomfortable. You look in the mirror and you’re like, “This doesn’t look good. I don’t even know who’s looking back at me.”

Winter’s coming to a close and you can feel your energy levels wanting to come out of hibernation mode, but then you kind of refer back to “I used to be an athlete” – maybe that was in high school or college. But now it just feels like you are struggling to keep up with your kids. Not like keeping up with them in terms of running sprints together, but keeping up with their energy.

Keeping up with the energy, keeping up with your to-do list, and you’re just feeling exhausted and burnt out. It’s not maybe just about how you look, but it’s also this internal feeling. You want to have the energy to play with your kids and be present, not just surviving every single day and collapsing on the couch after they go to bed.

I know for me, I go straight to bed. The other day, Harper, my oldest who is nine right now, said, “Mom, my bedtime needs to be a little later.” I said, “No, it doesn’t. Because I go to bed!”

You’ve Tried Everything Before

The truth is, you’ve tried many things before. Maybe you’ve tried those shake programs where you have two shakes a day. Or maybe your friend with that MLM company said, “This is the best product you need to buy.” And you buy into the whole idea that it’s going to change everything internally for you, change how you feel, change how you show up.

Or maybe you joined that 30-day or 6-week or 90-day program, that 90-day challenge. You tried that restrictive diet, you did the master cleanse, you’ve counted every single calorie until you just gave up. And each time, you found yourself fighting yourself because then you were right back where you started.

Sometimes even worse off. And when I say “right back where you started,” I’m not talking about just weight loss. I’m not talking about just the fat falling off your body. What I’m talking about is this internal thing where you keep looking for things to fix what’s going on in your heart and what’s going on in your brain and mindset.

Why Spring Is the Perfect Time for Change

The reason I wanted to talk about this today is because spring is coming up, and I get excited for spring and that new season. I want you to know that I hear you and I’ve been where you’ve been. I’ve helped hundreds of women just like you through my program at Chaselynn Fitness.

I know exactly what you’re looking for. I know that deep down feeling where you think, “If I just do this program, it’s going to fix how I feel. If I just do this program, I’m gonna feel better about myself.”

But here’s the thing about wanting to make a change: Spring’s here, summer’s around the corner. And if you are not going to start right now, you’re going to find yourself in the same position next month, the month after that. This cycle is going to continue if nothing changes.

Every day that passes, you’re teaching your kids what normal looks like. They’re watching you, absorbing your relationship with your body, with food, with how you get into your clothes, with exercise.

I want to challenge you: What are they learning from watching you? What are you teaching them?

Think about how it feels when you have to say no to playing tag because you’re too tired. Or when you avoid going outside because it’s too hot and you don’t want to put on shorts. Or not wanting to go to the beach because you have to put on a bathing suit. Or when you reach for those comfort foods at the end of the day because it’s the only thing you really want in that moment because you’re emotionally drained.

I have moments like that too where I’m sitting there eating chips and salsa and my daughter asks for some. In that moment I think, “I wish I wasn’t eating this right now.” And you know what I do? I put them away. Because it is not just about me anymore all the time, and it’s not just about you.

Breaking Through Overwhelm

I know it can be overwhelming, especially when you start searching stuff on Google like “How do I do my macros?” or “How much protein should I be eating?” You’re flooded with information. It’s not that you don’t have information or don’t know what to do. You’re being pulled in a million different directions. The kids need you. You have a demanding job. You’ve got a team to lead. The house needs cleaning. The floor needs swept. And somewhere in that chaos, there’s you.

And it seems impossible. I know you’re already working out. You’re already eating clean. That’s not what you’re struggling with. I’m talking about the pattern. The longer you stay in this pattern, the harder it’s going to be to break free of it. Your energy is going to spiral down, your health is going to suffer, and that athlete that you once were feels like a distant memory.

But what if I told you that this season right now is the perfect time to make a change? Not because summer’s coming, not because nature is showing us some beautiful renewal of blooms, but because spring is nature’s actual reset button. God designed it like that. God designed everything to be in cycles, not repetitive cycles.

There’s a Vitex tree that has beautiful purple flowers on it. They grow to be about 20 feet tall and bloom these really pretty purple flowers. Even though God created things in cycles, did you know that tree does not look the same every single spring? Every time that tree blooms, it’s bigger, it’s more fruitful, it’s more beautiful every single spring because it’s growing. It’s not the same size as when it was planted.

The 21-Day Jumpstart Journey

That’s exactly why I created the 21-Day Jumpstart Journey. This is not just another program that promises quick results because that is not how I do life. It’s strategic. It’s a sustainable approach designed specifically for busy moms who don’t have hours to go to the gym.

You’re still working out. It’s just now we’re going to have a strategy behind it. It’s not trying to find time – you know you have the time. You’re working out, you’re in a fluid motion here. And so it really is just putting a strategy and processes together with our 3M method, which focuses on three critical areas:

Movement

We’ve got progressive workouts that are less than 30 minutes long. You can do them anywhere – you don’t have to go to the gym. It’s just you showing up for yourself consistently with a strategy that is progressive. You’re going to build strength, you’re going to have energy, and when you move, you’re a better version of you.

Mindset

What makes this different is I know that movement alone isn’t going to be enough. That’s why we focus heavily on mindset. In the 21-day program, we actually have over six hours of mindset training where I break down those limiting beliefs that are holding you back right now.

Most programs just say “follow this program, eat these foods, you’ll see results,” and you will. But the biggest thing is if you don’t start shifting what’s happening in your brain, you won’t make lasting change. That’s why when I built my 21-day program, I knew there had to be more than just workouts and nutrition. We really address the cycle of starting over and give you the tools to push through when life gets chaotic.

Macros

I don’t believe in elimination diets or taking things out completely. The nutrition blueprint gives you guidance and helps you fuel your body effectively without giving up the foods you actually love. No more feeling guilty about the birthday party you’re going to. No more missing out on dinner with friends, because those things are important.

Success Stories

One of my clients, Delinda, said, “This program is changing how I approach everything fitness related. My workouts are a priority every morning. My kids are asking if I did my workouts because they wanted to be a part of it.”

That’s what’s so amazing about what happens when you commit to the process – not just committing to right now, but committing long-term to being a household of health. Not only do you transform (the majority of women in this program drop a minimum of five inches if you do the work), but you’re creating a ripple effect that impacts your entire family.

Another client said, “I just love that I’m not dreading my workouts anymore.” She’s excited to do her workouts.

Your Invitation to Join

This spring you have a decision to make. You can continue doing the cycle that leads to where you are now and just keep repeating the same stuff. Or you can lean into the natural energy happening right now and step into creating real, lasting change and habits, creating that legacy and setting those examples for you and your family.

I invite you to join this round of the 21-Day Jumpstart Journey program. Doors just opened yesterday, and we’re getting started on March 31st. We’re only going to have 50 spots available for this program.

This is your chance to stop the cycle of starting over and show up for yourself consistently to create habits that will serve you and your family long-term. You can get $10 off if you enter promo code “podcast”.

I also want to invite you to join the VIP option. This is new this round, where you actually get coaching alongside the 21-day program. The VIP will catapult you to more results and start shifting things mentally. That’s what a coach does – gets you there 10 steps faster than if you were to just figure it out on your own.

Will you get results in just the 21-Day program? Of course. So many people have. But the ones that step into coaching get even better results. There are 50 spots in the 21-day program and only 12 or 13 spots in the VIP.

It’s Not Just About Looking Better

It’s not about looking better in your clothes all the time, even though that’s exciting. It’s about creating a sustainable approach to your health that fits into what you’re doing right now.

Those 22, 25-year-old fitness influencers selling workout attire and telling you to get a “snatched waist” – they don’t know what you’re going through as a mom. It is night and day.

Spring is here. It’s time for you to step into blooming. I hope you enjoyed today’s episode. I love you guys so much. Don’t forget to leave a review below – I really want to hear from you, and that will help this show get found so we can find more like-minded women just like you.

Oh, and I want to share – I just had a lady follow me on Instagram the other day. I asked her, “How did you find me?” She was searching for holistic Christian faith-based podcasts for her wellness journey, and she found the Noble and Nourished podcast. How cool is the internet? So share with a friend, don’t forget to leave your review, and I will see you guys on the inside of Jumpstart Journey in a few weeks.
