Consistency is Key: A Quick Guide to Staying on Track

April 19, 2023

Hello everyone, it’s Chase Williams here, a certified personal trainer and nutritionist for Millennial moms. My goal is to help families create a household of health through their fitness journey by forming sustainable habits and routines.

Today, I’m here to talk to you about consistency in your nutrition, mindset, and fitness. I know many of you may have had a solid week or two of working out and eating well, but then life got in the way, and before you know it, you haven’t worked out in three weeks or stopped meal prepping.

But don’t worry, I’m here to offer you three ways to create consistency in your health and wellness journey.

  1. Plan and Schedule: The first step to creating consistency is to evaluate your schedule and plan out your workouts, meal prep time, and cook time. Make sure to schedule these important tasks just like you would schedule a dentist appointment or your children’s soccer practice. By putting your health goals into your schedule, you are less likely to cancel on yourself.
  2. Find an Accountability Partner: The second step is accountability. Find a friend or family member who has similar goals and work towards them together. Having someone know your goals and hold you accountable will increase your chances of success. You can also join a challenge group or find an accountability buddy to work out with.
  3. Prioritize What’s Important: The final step is to prioritize what is important to you. If your health, mindset, and fitness are a priority, make sure to put them at the top of your list. Don’t let anything come between what you’re trying to achieve. Prioritizing your goals means not cancelling on yourself and holding yourself to a higher standard of accountability.

I hope these tips have been helpful for you, and I’m so excited to see all of you participating in your February challenge. If you’re on Instagram, feel free to follow me at @chasteland252, I’d love to cheer you on in your fitness and nutrition journey. Good luck and talk soon!
